The Library Of Forgotten Inventions

Idea

This application was created by a team of students of Polytechnic University of Turin, during the course Virtual Reality held by professor Andrea Bottino, Francesco Strada and Edoardo Battegazzorre.

It’s an application in the educational field in Italian. Its goal is to make the user live an educational and playful experience to rediscover the greatest inventions that have characterized the history of humanity. The application is for children and teenagers, between 8-14 years, and the user platform is the Desktop.

Story

Mankind has lost memories of all the inventions ever made: they were accidentally erased by the Great Inventor because of a virus.  The user is catapulted into a library in which all the knowledge of the universe is contained. There, the Great Inventor has left a robot created by himself, but that following a malfunction can give only cryptic clues. Opening several books, the user retraces the history of the inventions and collects a series of fragments of a mysterious letter left directly by the Great Inventor.
